TRIFECTA!!!
Yes, we sucked and lost today. Does misery love company? Yes! For the second week in a row we have Triple Angel Wings! During the week and today, Duke, Pitino and Louisville lost!
Duke: Retiring Coach K failed to capture the ACC Tourney title; Pitino: failed to capture the MAAC tourney title, relegating Rick to the NIT; Louisville: The Card's 13‑19 season is mercifully over.
• Fri, Mar 11:
Men Win! - 5th ranked Men's Basketball (26‑6) beat Vanderbilt 77‑71 in the SEC Tourney in Tampa. The team remained calm and didn't fold in the hard fought battle, too tough of a battle against an unranked opponent for this time of the year. Let's hope the coaching staff has the team more focused against 9th ranked Tennessee tomorrow.
Softball Wins! - 9th ranked Women's Softball (19‑2) beat Buffalo 7‑0 then beat Valparaiso 10‑2 in Lexington.
Baseball Wins! - Men's Baseball (13‑3) beat High Point twice, 14‑3 then 9‑4 in Lexington.

• Sat, Mar 5:
Men Win! - 7th ranked Men's Basketball (25‑6) beat Florida 71‑63 on the road in Gainesville in the last game of the regular season. It was a good win and a good offensive effort by the Cats but there was yet another five minute stretch without scoring near the end of the game. The so-so defensive effort was annoying to watch... again.
Women Win! Upset! - 7th seed Women's Basketball (18‑11) beat 3rd seed (and 18th ranked nationally) Tennessee 83‑74 in the semifinals of the SEC Tourney in Nashville.
Softball Wins! - 10th ranked Women's Softball (16‑2) beat Kent State 9‑1 in Lexington.
Baseball Wins! - Men's Baseball (10‑2) beat 16th ranked Texas Christian 5‑1 in the first game of a double-header in Lexington, then lost the second game 8‑12 . The Bat Cats won the three game series 2‑1 .
TRIFECTA!!!
Extra Sweet Triple angel wings! During the week and today, Duke lost! Pitino lost! Louisville Lost!
Why Extra Sweet? Duke: Retiring Coach K's last home game and losing to their archrival NC, throw in Duke senior night and that's a trifecta within a trifecta! Pitino: Manhattan's Coach Steve Masiello was a walk on for Pitino at KY! Louisville: There's actually nothing extra sweet about this loss for the sad 12‑18 Cards. Half way through the season we even stopped doing angel wings when they lost (unless part of a trifecta) because it was so repetitive!
